The latest trend in skin care and anti-aging is Enzymes.
The skin is a rich reservoir of enzyme activity. There are
skin care products that can enhance or inhibit the activity of natural enzymes
in the skin, and there are skin care products containing enzymes that work with
the natural enzymes in your skin, helping maintain the youthfulness of your
skin.

Fruit Enzymes can be used with great success to exfoliate
the skin. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) such as Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid, and enzymes perform
different functions to achieve exfoliation. They complement each other when
used separately.
AHAs such as Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid loosen and lift off the top layers of dead cells, while
enzymes simply dissolve the dead skin cells off, revealing fresher skin.
The Enzyme action of dissolving the layer of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin is a gentle action, while the AHA's action of loosening and lifting
the top layers of dead skin cells is a more aggressive action and sometimes irritating to sensitive skin.
That's why the Enzyme Peel Kit is a better choice for those with delicate or sensitive skin, or those
sensitive to Glycolic Acid products.
Skin Peels and other methods of exfoliation have stood the
test of time as effective anti-aging treatments. However, very few products are
formulated with pure fruit acids and natural ingredients that can produce
optimal results without irritation. Our Fruit Enzyme Exfoliating Kit takes
advantage of natural fruit enzymes to exfoliate and refine the skin without the
use of synthetics or harsh chemicals.
Fruit Enzyme Products are excellent for those who are
sensitive to Glycolic Products or for those with sensitive skin. Fruit Enzyme
Products will produce similar results for your skin as the Glycolic Products,
but they use a more gentle action to achieve the same results.
Fruit Enzyme products are excellent to use in conjunction
with Glycolic Acid Products. Many people use both methods to maintain their
skin. Simply do a Glycolic Peel once a week to lift off and remove the top
layer of dead skin cells, then once a month do a Fruit Enzyme Peel to go in and
dissolve another layer of dead skin cells. Using the two different methods of
exfoliation really helps to maintain youthful and vibrant skin.
In addition, if you have gotten to the point where your skin
is no longer responding to Glycolic Products, or you are ready to move up to a
higher strength of Glycolic Acid to get results, try a change of exfoliating
product instead. The skin gets used to a product after a while and will no
longer respond with the same results you were getting. Changing products, such
as switching to Fruit Enzymes to exfoliate the skin, will stimulate the skin
into responding and you will get the results you are looking for again!
The use of Glycolic Acid and other AHAs involves frequent
applications, while enzyme peels need only be done every 4-8 weeks.
